In January this year, I saw Mr Gibbs as I had great trouble to even walk across the lounge. He recommended a partial knee replacement on my left knee, which I have now had. Although it is still early days ( just three weeks post up)I am managing to get around well. I can see improvement every day. I have found Mr Gibbs to be a very approachable and pleasant surgeon. Nothing is too much trouble to explain the operation involved. Mr Gibbs has also performed a knee arthroscopy and hip replacement on my right leg, both of which I have been very pleased with. would strongly recommend Mr Gibbs for any similar operation. Mr Gibbs was very informative, calm and caring throughout my dealings with him. I had a total knee replacement on the 2nd April, and I am already more mobile and in less pain than I have been for years! Mr Gibbs has a quiet manner and set me at my ease very quickly. I was able to ask the questions I needed to, without being made to feel that what I was asking was silly or irrelevant. I have never had surgery of any kind before, so this was a big deal for me; he couldn't have been kinder or more reassuring, before, during or after my surgery. I was extremely well looked after by Mr Gibbs and the staff working at the Nuffield Hospital. Thanks again!

I recently had a total knee replacement by Mr Gibbs which I very happy to say was a complete delight from the first consultation, through the surgery and to the final consultation. I was on a 27 week NHS waiting list to see a consultant when an opportunity to go private came along, I had absolutely no idea which consultant to choose as they all had amazing reviews and years of experience so I chose the consultant who’s profile picture was him in scrubs and not a suit and tie ( it was a good picture of a consultant at work ) Mr Gibbs was very easy to talk to, informative, caring and settled any nerves I had before, during and after the surgery. I would like to say a massive thank you to Mr Gibbs, his team in theatre and all the staff at Nuffield hospital Haywards Heath.

Mr Gibbs' friendly and reassuring manner enabled me to ask questions and get a reply that I understood. I would have no hesitation in asking for him to attend to my other knee, should that be necessary in the future.
